Mrs. Wilma A. Cope, 88, Crawfordsville, passed away on Friday, August 22nd, at 12:05 AM in the Williamsburg Healthcare. She was born April 6, 1926, in Alexandria, Kentucky, to Frank F. and Nellie Florence (Bainem) Wagner. She married Lee Wilson Cope on February 25, 1941, in Alexandria, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on November 9th, 2004.
Mrs. Cope Had worked at R R Donnelleys for 10 years and was a Homemaker. She was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church; attended St Mary's Catholic School in Alexandria, Ky; was a member of the VFW Auxilliary; and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing.
She is survived by her children: Bill Lee Cope and Gladys Marie Berry, both of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Pam, Mike, David, and Dallas; great grandchildren: Christopher, Matt, Andy, Annie, and Mickey; and 1 great great grandson; and several step grand and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Frank and Harry Wagner; her sister: Louise Anthony; a granddaughter: Tracy Crowe; and a great grandson: Tyler Crowe.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 27th, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 1306 E. Main St., with Father Dennis Faker officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 26th, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Memorials may be made to: St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
