Woodrow Garrard

Mr. Woodrow K. "Woody" Garrard, 74, Crawfordsville, passed away on Friday, December 6, at 5:37 PM in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. He was born June 21, 1939, in Robinson, Illinois, to Royal W. "Buster" and Topy E. (Wright) Garrard. He married Earlene L. Partenheimer in Johnson County on December 20th, 1958. She survives.

Mr. Garrard was retired from the US Postal Service and after his retirement worked for several years as a Custodian for the Montgomery County Sheriff Department. He was a graduate of Clark High School in Indiana; was a member of the National Rifle Association; member of the Indiana Sheriff's Association; and a member of the Darlington Gun Club. His hobbies included rebuilding old cars; hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Bryan K. Garrard, Indianapolis; Peggie Coffman, Crawfordsville; Michelle (Sean) Surratt, LaPorte; and Jamie (Rex) Ray, Thorntown. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Zach Baker; Samantha and Holly Thompson; and Ava and Olivia Surratt. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Gary Garrard.

Cremation was selected with a Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, December 11, at 5:00 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. The family will greet friends in the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
