Michelle Hawk

Mrs. Michelle Lynn "Shelly" Hawk, 47, Crawfordsville passed away in her home Monday, February 24th at 5:00 AM, after battling cancer for 4 years. She was born August 16, 1966, in Crawfordsville, to John D. and Barbara Jean (Lewis) Cummings. She married Richard A. Hawk in March of 2002. He survives.

Mrs. Hawk was a Surgical Technician at Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, and at St. Clare Hospital. She was a 1985 graduate of Crawfordsville High School; received an Associates Degree in Surgical Technology from IVY Tech; enjoyed NASCAR, Harley Davidsons, scrap-booking, cake decorating, and rooster collecting.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Matthew D. Cooper and Allison M. Hawk, both of Crawfordsville; parents: Barbara (Cecil) Chandler, Crawfordsvlle; John (Karol) Cummings, Lafayette; a step son: Ben A. Hawk, Louisiana; step-daughter: Brandi A. Fallon, Pennsylvania; brother: John (Julie) Cummings, Lafayette; sisters: Angela E. Cummings, Crawfordsville, and Mary (Martin) Lagunes, Lafayette; step-brothers: Curtis (Glenna) Chandler, Bloomington, Illinois; Brian (Lisa) Chandler, Waynetown; step-sister: Jackie (Randy) Harwood, Crawfordsville; grandchildren: Tristin Fallon, Justus Hawk, and Beryln Hawk. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and an uncle, Ralph Lewis.

Cremation was selected with a Memorial Service to be held on Friday, February 28th, at 1:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Liberty Chapel Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home
